Review Highlights
Parc De Oaks is a food truck park on Moss Street in Lafayette, Louisiana — an "if you know, you know" spot that owner Chris Amos calls home to "the culinary cuisine of your life." Keith Lee and his family visited after over a hundred recommendations and a personal invitation from Amos himself. They arrived at 5:30 PM, just 30 minutes before closing, and most food trucks were already sold out — a testament to how fast this place moves. They managed to grab food from the two remaining trucks, The Flavor Plug and D Jerk Spot, for a total of $36.75.
- ·Steak Plug (The Flavor Plug) — a steak quesadilla that Keith notes looks more like shredded roast beef than steak, but is "extremely good" regardless. "It's cheesy, it's overly seasoned — he season this thing from the ruler to the tutor, his wrist heavy." 7.9 out of 10, and Keith says a mayo-based spicy sauce would push it even higher.
- ·Turkey necks (D Jerk Spot) — Keith says they look and taste exactly like high-quality oxtail. "This Turkey neck is delicious. When I say delicious, I don't think I use that term in a minute. It's tender, it's spicy, it's juicy, it's falling off the bone. It's extremely flavorful." 9.2 out of 10, his highest rating of the meal.
- ·Festival (Jamaican cornbread) — served alongside the turkey necks; dipping it in the gravy elevates the entire plate. Keith says the combination takes the turkey neck experience from a 9.2 to a 9.4 out of 10.
- ·Tropical Fusion Punch (D Jerk Spot) — a house-made drink blending guava, pineapple, banana, strawberry, ginger, and fruit punch. "Much more sour than it is sweet — it's refreshing too." 8.7 out of 10.
Parc De Oaks lived up to the hype — even with most trucks sold out, the two remaining spots delivered standout food. The turkey necks from D Jerk Spot were the clear star, earning a 9.2 and drawing the rare "delicious" label from Keith. The food truck park format means the experience varies depending on which trucks are open, but the quality across both remaining vendors suggests the park curates its lineup well. Keith left grateful for the recommendations and hopeful the businesses find the audience they deserve.
About
Parc De Oaks is Lafayette's first official food truck park, opened in July 2023 by husband-and-wife owners Christopher and Andrea Amos. Set under a canopy of historic live oak trees with string lights on Moss Street, the park hosts a rotating lineup of up to eight food trucks — spanning Cajun comfort food, Jamaican jerk, and more — alongside a permanent bar pouring local beer and cocktails. It was voted #1 Best Lunch Spot and Best Outdoor Dining in Acadiana's Choice awards.

What visitors say
Locals treat Parc De Oaks as a community gathering spot as much as a place to eat — the outdoor setting under the oaks is the main draw, with families and groups spreading out across picnic tables for long, laid-back afternoons. The food truck lineup changes regularly, so regulars recommend checking which trucks are on before heading over. Popular vendors frequently sell out before closing, so the consensus is: arrive early.
